Americans experienced the death and memorials of a much-loved former President (Jimmy Carter), a horrific tragedy in New Orleans, a massive snow and ice storm across the Plains, some entertaining NCAA football games, and all this (and more) in the aftermath of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
