This week we will have some serious topics for conversation, beginning with..,
The immoral word choices so many make when it comes to talking about acts of war. Christians need to lead the way in calling these out.
Jesus was a storyteller, and I dip into Mark’s fourth chapter about Jesus telling parables, what a recent book calls the (very) short stories of Jesus. In them Jesus stimulates our imagination for a better world.
What about “666”? What did that mean? Who was it? Who is it? And along with 666 what about the Dragon in Revelation and the Wild Things (beasts)? What role do they play in the Drama of Revelation?
Finally, we turn to Jesus as the undeniable advocate for good works. Any study of good works must deal with the clear words of Jesus. The plain and simple reading of his words.
