… looking forward to this week, and not just because we have an intensive beginning on The Gospels and Acts.
The week begins with Niggle’s theory of work — if you have not read Leaf by Niggle, please do. I’ll reflect about work on Labor Day!
One of our wonderful grads from Northern Seminary, Laura Tarro, is a pastor in the western burbs and has written about her calling. You will enjoy her reflections.
Sandra Glahn turns to the implications of her studies about Artemis for how to read 1 Timothy 2 — with all its difficult expressions and contextually shaped expressions.
Perhaps you have heard about Richard Bauckham’s new study on the “Son of Man,” which will be two volumes. I will summarize volume one for you on Thursday. His book will be a discussion-starter and may well be a game-changer for many.
Again, if you want to read all posts and comment on them, please subscribe.
Very eager for Bauckham's work to come out and a study group I joined has also just selected Sandra Glahn's book for our fall reading, but we have to wait til October. With both topics I'm excited to get a summary from your perspective, thanks Scot!
