Coming This Week

This week will see four completely different topics at this Substack. I do my best to come up with new topics and new books and fresh ideas for you, the kind readers of this Substack.

But I can’t go forward without expressing my profound distress over the senseless murders of students at Brown University and on Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia. We pray prayers, and light candles, of empathy for the families, friends, professors, rabbis, and communities, and we pray for an increasing intolerance for anger, hatred, violence, and guns.

Lord, have mercy.
