Coming this Week at Tov Unleashed

Some new books, some new ideas — those are in store for us this week in my Newsletter, Tov Unleashed.
On Monday I want to look at a brand new book — dropping Monday on Amazon — about nurturing table fellowship in our local churches. The book is by Northern Seminary graduate, Greg Mamula, and is called Table Life. I can’t think of a better idea for our churches as they emerge from the “long winter” of the Covid pandemic.
Tuesday we turn to another new book, Jemar Tisby’s How To Fight Racism. Tisby’s book is filled with big ideas and practical suggestions.
Wednesday — yes, another new study — called The Love That is God by Frederick Christian Bauerschmidt. Wesley Hill says this book made him want to become a Christian all over again.
And on Thursday, which is not behind the paywall, we turn again to Brent Strawn’s wonderful book about misperceptions about the Old Testament. Friday, I provide a sketch of one of my lectures again — this one on six strategies for reading the Gospels.
