One of the best books of 2021 is Ryan Burge’s potent study The Nones. We are taking it step by step each week, but believe me when I say that his conclusion stuns all but the social scientists and political scientists. Evangelicalism is not as theological as it likes to think. This week we will take another dip into his book.

Your story matters, but churches learning to tell God’s story, and not just theirs is even more important. Your church’s story cannot be as big as God’s story. We will explore this a bit with Greg Mamula’s Table Life.

Lamenting is Christian, and a good place to begin understanding the importance of lament for the Christian life is looking at the various forms of lament in Jesus. Rebekah Eklund explores Jesus and lament in her wonderful new study Practicing Lament.
