One of my favorite locations in Greece is Corinth. We spent three hours at the archaeological site — “Ancient Corinth.” Which means a tour guide introduction at various locations and teaching today both from Lynn Cohick and me.
Again, my deep thanks to our graduate, Terri Fullerton, for sending me these pictures.
Here is a picture of some of our students who found shade for a session of teaching.
Lynn taught about the rich and poor issue here, leading us through a good discussion of Erastus and of the rich and poor problem in the Lord’s supper celebrations at Corinth. She also spoke about Jew-Christian relations.
I taught about Paul’s subversion of the worldly linkages between Corinthian expectations of status and the Pauline idea of Christoformity and how Paul subverted their ideas of status.
Ah, the site itself:
Farewell Corinth!
Really enjoying tracking with this trip Scot. I’m not too far behind you as I’m currently crossing the bosphorus on a ferry! We’re returning from the Theology of the kingdom Intensive in London where your video went down very well! Hoping kris is doing ok with the suspected fracture. Liam
Loved tracking with you and the group. Thanks for brings us along. Here’s a long-shot question: are Lynn’s and your talks available to the public in any form?
