Following Jesus ... and other topics!

Kris and I are looking forward to this week’s major event: SBL in San Diego. A great place for a conference, and we look forward to seeing so many friends — old and new. But before we leave, some posts will appear here at Substack.

If we want to call ourselves followers of Jesus, then we don’t get to choose which of his teachings and approaches to follow. Thursday we turn to an element in the way of Jesus rarely even considered when it comes to following. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

We begin Monday with a doozy! Is there a straight line from Wheaton to the Trump White House? You surely know what that means, and I will weigh in on this Monday. Anytime I talk about anything near to politics I reserve the posts for full signups … so think of subscribing.

Wednesday we will open a discussion about “evangelism — the old-fashioned way.” And, yes, I’ll leave it with that. The topic may not be what you think it means.
