Four Questions for the Week
Reading for this Substack goes through surges of books that deserve to be discussed and then surges of “no, this book doesn’t it, and no that book doesn’t fit.” I sometimes fiddle around at a book shelf in my library pondering what to read for you next. So, here goes with some of my decisions, which can be discerned by answering these four questions:
Monday: What makes a Bible reading “Latinamente”?
Tuesday: What is a major problem for Christian nationalists?
Wednesday: What does “fearless” Christianity and education look like?
Thursday: What does Jesus’s family album look like?
Please join us.

Excited for the Latinamente thoughts. Having been raised in churches in Costa Rica and Venezuela, the Latin American lens through which I learned, read and studied the Bible is something for which I'll never stop being grateful. The faith I learned in Sunday School under the mango tree gave me a robust understanding of how we belong to each other, which has truly served me in times of suffering and compels me now to be a support and voice for those who suffer from oppression even now under political and religious regimes.
I hope I’m going to like Wednesday’s post!
