From The Second Testament, forthcoming.
29 On the next day, he sees Yēsous coming to him and says,
Look! God’s Lamb who lifts the Kosmos’ sin! 30 This is for whom I said, “After me a man comes who was before me, because he was first before me.” 31 I had not known him, but – that he might appear to Yisraēl – because of this I came dipping in water.
32 Yōannēs witnessed, saying that
I have observed the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven and it remained on him. 33 I had not known him but the One who sent me to dip in water, that One said to me, “Upon whomever you saw the Spirit descending and remaining on him, this person is the one dipping in Holy Spirit.” 34 I have seen and I have witnessed that this is the God’s Son.
35 On the next day again Yōannēs had been standing, and two of his apprentices, 36 and observing Yēsous walking around, says, “Look, God’s Lamb!” 37 The two apprentices heard him speaking and they followed Yēsous. 38 Yēsous, turning and observing them following, says to them, “What are you pursuing?” They said to him, “My Greatness [=Rabbi] (which translated says, ‘Teacher’), where are you remaining?” 39 He says to them, “Come and see.” Therefore, they came and saw where he remains and they were remaining with him that day. It was about the tenth hour [4pm]. 40 One of the two who heard from Yōannēs and followed him was Andreas, Simōn Petros’ brother. 41 This one first finds his own brother, Simōn, and says to him, “We have found the Messias (which translated is ‘Christos’).” 42 They led him to Yēsous. Yēsous, observing him, said, “You are Simōn, Yōannēs’ son, you will be called ‘Kēphas’ (which is translated ‘Petros’ [=Rock]).”
I keep going to my Amazon wish list hoping to see “Today” as the release date, but it still says June 6. 😀
