From The Second Testament
Luke 9:28-36
Yēsous glows
28 It happened after these words, about eight days: Taking Petros and Yōannēs [John] and Yakōbos [James], he ascended into the mountain to pray.
29 It happened in his praying: his face’s form [was] another and his robe [was] white, dazzling. 30 Look! Two men were conversing with him, who were Mōüsēs [Moses] and Ēlias, 31 who, appearing in splendor, were talking about his exodus, which he was about to fill out in Yierousalēm [Jerusalem].
32 Petros and those with him were heavy in sleep. Being fully awake, they saw his splendor and the two men standing with him.
33 It happened in their separating from him, Petros said to Yēsous, “Superintendent, it’s beautiful for us to be here. Let us make three tents, one for you, one for Mōüsēs, one for Ēlias.” (Not knowing what he is saying.) 34 Saying these things . . . a cloud came and it enveloped them. They were scared in their entering into the cloud. 35 A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my royal Son, elected. Listen to him!”
36 In the voice having occurred, Yēsous was found alone. They were silent and declared to no one in those days nothing of what they had seen.
