Looking Ahead, Peeking Back
It will be a good week at Tov Unleashed.
We begin the week looking at “Beyond Deconstruction” to a third term, the first two being Jesus and Justice.
Tuesday we will look at the law-reading of the Bible, which infects so much unhealthiness at times in Bible reading but which also, when read well, does not lead to the legalism many have experienced.
Wednesday I will have a special book review of a new book about Dietrich Bonhoeffer, which asks not what Americans think of Bonhoeffer but what he thought of the American churches.
Thursday will open a conversation about what it means to live the gospel in the Book of Acts, and how we can become better “witnesses.”
Last week we looked at Ten Quotes from a recent essay about the Mark Driscoll podcasts. (That one generated lots of conversation.) Reading Scripture as prayers and pondering a gospel life as the pursuit of peace occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday and then Thursday we looked at Beyond Desconstruction’s second term, Justice.
