Looking Ahead, Peeking Back
It’s been a good week on Tov Unleashed and I hope you have participated in the various conversations. This week will add to those conversations and continue some of them.
On Monday I will extract ten quotes from a recent exceptional article about the Driscoll podcasts and, in particular, we need to have a conversation about the power of platforming others. Tuesday we return to how we read the Bible, this time about learning to read it as prayer itself. Wednesday I sketch a recent study that shows the gospel itself was a message about peace, not just with God (a la Billy Graham) but with one another and in the public realm. Thursday I turn to a second term as we peer into what is beyond Deconstruction. Join us.
Last week our topics for conversation were:
A pastoral word for the pandemic.
Reading the Bible as stories.
Beyond Deconstruction: A place to start (with Jesus)
Is there a “gospel” in the Gospels?
Seven observations on the 5 Things book
