From The Second Testament, due out in June.
Yēsous enters Yierosoluma [Jerusalem]
21:1 When they came close to Yierosoluma, and they came to Bēth-Phagē [Bethphage] to the mountain of olives [Mount Olivet], then Yēsous commissioned two apprentices, 2 saying to them, “Journey into the village opposite of you, and immediately you will find a tied-up donkey and a foal with her. Loosening, bring to me. 3 If anyone says to you, “Why?,” you will say that “The Lord has a need for them.” Suddenly he will commission them. 4 This occurred to fill out what was said through the prophet, saying,
5 Tell Daughter Siōn [Zion],
Look! Your king comes to you
Meek and mounted on a donkey,
On a foal, male of a pack animal.
6 The apprentices, journeying and doing just as Yēsous ordered them, 7 led the donkey and foal, and placed their robes on them, and he sat upon them.
8 The very numerous crowd spread their robes in the path, and others snapped branches from the trees and were spreading in the path. 9 The crowds – the ones leading him and the ones following – were crying out, saying,
Hosanna to Dauid’s son!
Blessed is the One Coming in the Lord’s name.
Hosanna in the highest levels.
10 He enters into Yierosoluma … the whole city was shaken, saying, “Who is this?” 11 The crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Yēsous – the man from Nazara of the the Galilaia.”
Thank you this! Matt 21:5 As I read this today my heart melted. Probably read this hundreds of times and heard it every spring but for some reason He made it alive in a completely new way. Hard to express. The king of kings coming to us! That we could come to Him! A King, gentle and lowly of heart that we can learn and He can reveal the Father to us Mt 11:25
