Scripture for Today
One of the scripture readings in today’s lectionary is 1 Timothy 1:12-17, and I have posted it here from The Second Testament: A New Translation.
12 I have grace for Christos Yēsous our Lord, the one who empowered me, that he considered me allegiant, placing [me] into service, 13 being formerly an insulter [of God’s Christos] and chaser and arrogant, but I was shown compassion because, being uninformed, I did [such actions] in anti-trust. 14 But our Lord’s grace was uber-magnified with allegiance and love that are in Christos Yēsous. 15 The word is allegiant and deserving of complete reception, that
Christos Yēsous came into the Kosmos to deliver sinners” (of whom I am first!).
16 But, because this is true, I was shown compassion so in me first Christos Yēsous might exhibit complete patience as a model for ones who are about to trust in him for Era Life.
17 To the King of the Eras, unperishable, invisible only God, [be] honor and splendor for the Era of Eras. Amēn!

Thank you Scott
