The Past Week at Tov Unleashed
What a fun week here on Substack! Our post about Will Collier’s wonderful biography of Eugene Peterson (A Burning In My Bones) elicited so many comments that came straight from the heart. Kris and I have read them several times. Thanks for all who dropped comments. We look forward to next week.

I began our week here on a point of irritation: the rising use of NDAs by churches that more often than not are designed to silence those who heard things or saw things and leadership in a church decided it would be better not to be known. Truth will win.
We commented on white evangelicals not being vaccinated.
Rebekah Eklund’s wonderful new book about lament takes us into the glaring gap between the truth about God and our experience of evil in this world.
That’s not all: we had some conversation about The Nones, the small world called complementarianism, and I responded to Mike Bird’s suggestion that Christian activism gets at times too close to Constantinianism. Mike will be responding at his site.
And, Oh yes, I outlined the crises involved in conversions to Jesus.
We have all kinds of new ideas and books for conversations slated in the weeks ahead.
