This Week at Tov Unleashed

Each Sunday afternoon I give a brief sketch of what will appear in the newsletter, but I need to include Sunday’s brief newsletter, which is either the Sunday collect from The Book of Common Prayer or, like today, the Gospel reading for Sunday’s readings.
On Monday I want to remind, or inform, our readers of one of my favorite sets of books for preachers and worship leaders. The set now has some supplementary volumes of which I just became aware — so open up your Monday newsletter for a description of these books.
Tuesday we dip back into the new study of the “Reformed Resurgence” with a look at the key people involved and what they are all about — and I have a fresh new brief definition of what makes a person a “New Calvinist.”
Wednesday’s reading looks at faith as faithfulness, and not just a single act of trust in Jesus. The Bible’s view of “faith” blends imperceptibly and inevitably into faithfulness, trust over the long haul.
Finally, we turn to our last post on Katelyn Beaty’s book to sketch what helps helps us to carry on into a life of being “little Christs.” It’s simple, but simple presents itself to many as difficult.
