What can we think together about this week?
I propose on Monday that we have a conversation about Bible reading, about Bible study, about picking up our Bibles and reading them. With helps? Yes, but with focus on the Bible and not books about topics. What happened to the sermon series on a book of the Bible?
On Tuesday I offer some thoughts about this statement: “the science tells us.” And does it? Or does it not? And what about what science does not know? Does it speak into that too? (Yes, some thoughts about Covid and Lyme disease.)
Wednesday we turn to John 4 with the theme: Meet me at the Well. There is so much Rodney Reeves pondered in John 4 it was hard to summarize. But I’ll give it a try. Join us.
Thursday, still undecided. But I want to turn to the shelter theology I began a few weeks back, so I’m thinking that will be our Thursday conversation. Lately I have also been pondering the tension between our collective vision and the freedom and rights of the individual. Maybe I can get something posted about that for Thursday. We’ll see.

When I led a local parish I preferred a pattern of teaching and liturgical design and development that at least one season of the church liturgical calendar to focus on either a letter or a book. The most common season was at least the summer months of ordinary time… since it was long enough to at least do justice to a whole body of section of the scriptures.
This was effective in giving the average church attendee (someone not necessarily in a Life Group or House Church) at least a once a year experience in working all the way through a letter or book.
