It’s a July 4th week but I want to keep the Substack going … so:

On Monday I will use The Second Testament on the gospel passages in the Book of Acts, asking what one word for the gospel is revealed in the Book of Acts? One word, you ask? Yes. One word.

Tuesday is July 4 so we provide a prayer for the day.

Wednesday we look at Carolyn Moore’s wonderful new book about women leading. The chapter we sketch Wednesday is about coaching, mentoring, and training. Women deserve coaches, mentors, and trainers. Carolyn has wonderful advice from her experience in all three.

Thursday — kingdom of God, the prophets of Israel who became (more than) social critics about injustice, and tied their vision of the future to Jubilee. A set of very big ideas.
