Yēsous announces in the Galilaia
12 Hearing that Yōannēs had been given over, he slipped into the the Galilaia. 13 Abandoning Nazara [Nazara], coming, he resided in Kaphar-Naoum next to the Sea, in the regions of Zaboulōn and Nephthalim, 14 so what was said through Yēsaias [Isaiah], the prophet, might be filled out, saying,
15 Land of Zaboulōn and land of Nephthalim,
path by the Sea,
Beyond the Yordanēs
The Galilaia of the ethnic groups.
16 The people sitting in darkness saw a great light,
and for the ones sitting in the region and in death’s shadow a light rose for them.
Yēsous’ first disciples
17 From then Yēsous began to announce and to say “Convert! The Heavens’ Empire has come close!”
18 Walking around along the Sea of the Galilaia, he saw two brothers, Simōn (called Petros) and Andreas his brother, tossing a fish net into the Sea. (They were fishers.) 19 He says to them, “Come behind me! I will make you into human-fishers.” 20 Immediately, releasing the nets, they followed him. 21 Proceeding from there, he saw another two brothers, Yakōbos – son of Zebedaios – and Yōannēs – his brother, in the boat with Zebedaios their father, preparing their nets, and he called them. 22 Immediately, the boat- and father-releasers followed him.
Yēsous described: a summary
23 He was leading around the whole of the Galilaia, teaching in their assembly halls, announcing the gospel about the Empire, and healing every illness and every malady among the people. 24 His report departed into the whole of Suria. They offered to him all those who were in a bad way, those absorbed by various illnesses and pains, and the demonized, those with seizures, the paralyzed – and he healed them. 25 A large crowd followed him from the Galilaia and the Ten Cities and Yierosoluma and Youdaia and Beyond the Yordanēs.
