Tour Stop #8: Jerusalem, again
Today we went to the Western Wall, which used to be called more often the Wailing Wall. What is visible is but 1/10th of the original Western Wall. It was Monday, so that meant Bar Mitsvahs in abundance — dozens of them occurring, some with bands and quite a gathering of family and friends. Then a picture of women in prayer.
One of our favorite tours in Jerusalem is the Western Wall tunnel, here was our expert guide — informing, clarifying, and answering many questions. Those “stones” from the quarry and beyond imaginable. Massive.
Danny Silvey, one of our DMin students, gave a talk on Mark 13 under the stones that Jesus said would fall at the Destruction of Jerusalem. Some of the fallen rocks are worth a seat for a picture!
