"Jesus sees not enough faith, failed faith, burned and burned up faith, and a lack of energy as faith that is ready to trust all over again." This is one of the best statements I have ever read with respect to recovering from trauma. Well done! Healing comes gradually as trust re-grows.
Thank you for writing and sharing empathy for others who have experienced trauma and/or have a disability. I so wish others were as empathetic as you are but grateful there are people who have compassion for others who may not always seem like they fit in to how society may want them to be. Happy that Jesus was empathetic towards individuals who had disabilities and who had been traumatized.
Beautiful and powerful! Thank you for sharing this! I'm co-writing a Bible study on the Beatitudes and just finished a first draft of "blessed are the merciful..." I'll be quoting you in my second draft!
The church will better care for those who enter when trauma is understood. I'm really excited about this book. Hagar's story has repeatedly spoken to me of God's seeing her traumatic experience. Her feeling of aloneness and disconnection. Who better than believers and the church to validate, see, hear, show care for others. Because trauma often entails a crisis of faith, we'd especially benefit by understanding.
"Those redeemed by Jesus in these Gospels stories did not get healed because they had perfect or even mature faith. They got healed because they turned to Jesus and had the courage to look into his eyes for a new future." So grateful for a God who truly sees and for grace to trust Jesus when it can feel so risky. Thank you for your good work!

Thank you for this message. Truly grateful, just what I needed to read today.
