What to Look Forward to on Substack

I’m looking forward to this week (and not just because The Second Testament’s official pub date is Tuesday). No, we’ve got some fresh new voices and ideas this week.

Monday is Juneteenth, and we will honor the day around our home and on this Substack.

Tuesday’s newsletter is called “Divine Dramedy.” We will begin discussing a new book about humor in the pulpit and classroom. The two authors anchor humor in the nature of God and God’s revelation. A major hit for some sourpusses, that’s for sure.

Wednesday we turn to women and spiritual authority. Good timing, eh? Carolyn Moore has fresh words for us. Encouraging words for women called to preach and pastor. Especially for those directly impacted by the suppression and regression happening in the SBC.

Thursday I want to tell you about Merlin. That’s all I will say for now.
