One thing we want to do this week is begin discussing our next book for the Tov Book Club. We will finish this week the wonderful book by Austin Carty, but I’m open to some suggestions.
Tomorrow we begin the week right there: with Austin Carty and what the pastor’s/leader’s life looks like if one becomes, yes, a Bible reader for the sake of … well… that’s the topic at hand tomorrow.
During the week I will open a discussion about Francis Watson’s new book, What’s a Gospel? And, I have some more thoughts on the parable of the Samaritan who “showed up” the priest and levite and the lawyer and the apostles. And I have something up my sleeve, but can I get it pulled out this week? We’ll see.
