Kris and I, along with Tommy and his family, will be in Nashville this week for the book launch of Invisible Jesus, but this Substack will go on.

I like the topics for this week, and they include:
Countering the political, nationalist narratives of our day with Jesus as the counternarrative. What does a Jesus-narrative look like? Drew Strait points the way.
I offer a huge Thank You! to the Sydney Anglicans for their bold and thoughtful decent about NDAs. I do have a few comments and suggestions for its improvement, but their move is what far more churches and organizations need to follow. Can you believe some churches require signing an NDA for someone before they can be hired? Ugh. (What’s wrong with this story?)
Two words: “benevolent” and “sexism” and a post this week looks at what happens when these two words come together in a Christian setting. You’ll have to read the post this Wednesday.
Finally, but not really finally because my friend (from Nashville) Mike Glenn manages somehow to post something each Friday, but still, Thursday, we will look at the sense of justice in the prophets. The proposal is Yes, justice, but not for all.
