Thank you Scott. I became a Christ follower in the early 1970’s ( Jesus freak movement era). Most of the group of people ( teenagers and young adults in their early 20’s) are very strong in the GOP , I am not.

Yep. Evangelicals (not all) equate Republicanism with Christianity which of course is wrong.

My friends have a hard time understanding why I cannot vote for Trump. I cannot vote for Kamala either. Both candidates are seriously flawed, in my opinion. Therefore, I think I'm going to vote for Brewster's NONE OF THE ABOVE!

Thank you for this article. Sadly, in my next of the woods, most evangelicals are MAGA. Not merely Trump voters but disciples. Sigh. Could you please share the books (or papers) from which you referenced Stanley Hauerwas, Carl Henry, and James Hunter? Sounds like good reading.
