Thanks for your post. I’m looking forward to reading the book. The Englewood Review of Books Podcast Episode 53 has a great conversation with the authors — https://open.spotify.com/episode/2koCugKVpCuZ6Iswto8GIi?si=BHadLYuvRUGlleuKCbpczA

This sounds very challenging. To one who first learned about CRT from the pens of conservatives denouncing the whole idea, I think I may have some rethinking to do.

"We need a tool that persistently and relentlessly examines the infiltration of racism into the American system..." That is the heart of it for me, and why I get so frustrated with much of the dialogue about CRT in the (majority white) evangelical world. We who proclaim "repent and believe" ought to be those who most welcome tools that show us the real and profoundly devastating shape of sin in the world!

Going to find the book now. So grateful to hear of a god resource on understanding CRT. I’ve felt like I’m swimming up stream in waters over my head in what I’ve found on my own to study. Hopefully this book helps me get a handle on it. I think we need all the tools we can get to try to understand and dismantle systematic racism.

Praise God for these gentlemen for writing about CRT in the right way. Looking forward to reading this book. I have found those who use CRT in their rallies for hate have no clue what it’s all about. Thank you Scott for todays substack

I'm playing catch up with my inbox.

This is so good--what an amazing resource. Yet I hold such disappointment and confusion for those who are unwilling to even consider another way of seeing, to realize racism is svery real. And so, I ask, what is mine to do?

Looking forward to this book. Needless to say, not a popular topic in TX.
