I’m always deeply uneasy anytime I hear “Homeland” in reference to the US. That to me hearkens back to Nazi Germany, and I find it baffling that the more vocal parts of Christianity don’t also see that. We cannot serve two masters, the US cannot be paired with God.
Thank you for all you are doing to develop and unpack a hermeneutic for peace. This is one of the most neglected aspects of Christian discipleship, particularly in evangelical churches. It is, as the subtitle of one of Willard Swartley’s books put it - “the missing peace in NT theology and ethics”.
