Some observations about the TGC posting of an excerpt that has drawn fire, and then as well as a taking down of the excerpt. I have several observations to add that I hope can explain the context for such content.

Mary’s own ministries are ignored by many when they discuss her and describe the texts about her in the New Testament. Amy Peeler’s thorough study about God and gender includes extensive discussions of “Minister Mary.”

In their book on The Home of God, a theology that shapes toward Christian presence and influence in the world, Volf and McAnnally-Linz discuss the meaning of faith and its rich nuances as how God makes a home with us.

Thursday: I’m not sure yet but I hope to have a sketch of Mike Bird’s amazing new book Jesus among the Gods — if only he would have written a shorter book!
