Nancy Pearcey’s, The Toxic War On Masculinity, would possibly balance what seems like an unending attack on male leadership in the home or in church. She quotes from highly respected sociologists researchers such as Fred Wilcox, who wrote in the NY Times “evangelical Christian women who hold to conservative gender ideology and attend church regularly with their husbands are the happiest wives in America”

I am listening (reading actually) to what you and others are saying because I sense a reality to it. But I’m hearing little to counter what sometimes seems like cultural tidal wave of antagonism against any sort of male leadership.

Yes, women should be able to exercise their gifts of leadership, including preaching, and yes there are lots of male chauvinists jerks. But is it possible that many good men are being sucked into the undertow?
